For client’s seeking counseling, there may be a need for a safe, supportive space to navigate life’s challenges. There may be struggles with anxiety, depression, stress, relationship conflicts, or identity development which can arise from various factors, including past trauma, relationship struggles, or life transitions. Their needs may include developing effective coping strategies, build resilience, improve communication, and develop greater self-awareness. Ultimately, they want to feel empowered and capable of handling life’s obstacles, seeking therapy as a means of self-improvement and emotional wellbeing.

I strive to create an environment where you feel truly accepted, heard, and valued by fostering a nonjudgemental and empathetic environment. My approach is person-centered and strengths-based, meaning I focus on meeting you where you are and help you tap into your inner resilience and abilities to create meaningful change.

I understand that life can feel overwhelming at times, and facing challenges like anxiety, depression, or past trauma can be difficult to navigate alone. No matter where you are on your journey, you deserve a space where you can feel seen, heard, and supported. I look forward to working with you and being part of your path to healing and self-discovery.

As a counselor, I strive to support you, give you room to access your own wisdom, recognize that you are the expert on your own life, and collaborate with you to make the hard stuff easier to sit with. A favorite quote of mine is from a poem which states, “Let yourself just be, even in the uncertainty. You don’t have to fix everything. You don’t have to solve everything. And you can still find peace and grow in the wild of changing things.”

I provide services to children, adolescents, and adults in individual therapy. My practice areas include: LGBTQ+ issues, grief and loss, life transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, stress, goal setting, adolescent behaviors, and women’s issues. I use an eclectic, mindfulness, person-centered approach, tailoring therapy to each client’s individual needs. I strive to create a warm, welcoming environment. I use humor, creativity, empathy, patience, cultural awareness, and self-awareness with my clients. I also have an extensive background working in human services, along with background as a first responder. Outside of therapy, you can find me reading, practicing my photography skills, or spending time with my cat.
